The drilling rig, IDECO H35, was installed on site in 1991 to drill a 14’’¾ well at 928m. The rig and wells are specifically adapted to suit the needs of trainees for practice.
The well are equipped with 7’’ casing, nitrogen injection lines and pressure sensors. The data is saved to be analyzed in class after the practical exercise.
IDECO H35 allows the trainees to familiarize themselves with the drilling rig from the initial practical handling to the rig floor, tripping or mud pit operations and thus make them aware of the risks connected with such activities.
It is possible to effectuate a gas kick control in the well whilst drilling or during a tripping procedure. It is carried out on site in full scale
